It has been revealed that the TV anime Re:_Hamatora will begin broadcasting this July on TV Tokyo. As the name implies, this is a sequel to Hamatora, a TV anime that ended on March 25 with many mysteries remaining. The title has been changed to Re:_Hamatora, and there is also a new key visual and logo. Included in the title are the meanings of each character’s “answer” in regard to their worries and troubles. It’s predicted that this new work will be even more dramatic. It’s safe to say that Re:_Hamatora is one of this summer’s standout anime.
A new staff has also been assembled for Re:_Hamatora. Directing the anime is Seiji Kishi who was assistant director on the previous anime. The animation is being created by Lerche, the same studio that worked on Danganronpa: The Animation. Continuing as character designer is Yūki Kodama. The staff is rounded out by Yukinori Kitajima of 428: Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de as project organizer and Jun Kumagai as series composer. An even more powered up anime than the last is anticipated from this staff.
Re:_Hamatora is set in Yokohama and depicts those who possess unique abilities called “Minimum” being caught up in an incident. It totes itself as a “new-style non-stop action and drama.” The story begins three months after the incident that wrapped Yokohama in chaos. Even things in Cafe Nowhere have returned to normal, and Murasaki joins forces with Hajime to begin detective work again. And there’s Art pointing a gun at his old friend Nice who makes an unexpected return… Don’t take your eyes off of where Hamatora is headed.
The voice cast is comprised of the same voice actors from the last anime. Playing the airheaded and prodigal Nice is Ryōta Ōsaka, playing his cool partner Murasaki is Wataru Hatano, playing Art is Hiroshi Kamiya, playing Hajime is Emiri Katō, and playing Koneko is Kiyono Yasuno.
The event Hamatora Fes 2014 Summer is scheduled to take place at Pacifico Yokohama on July 13. Re:_Hamatora will heat up this summer.

Hajime (Emiri Katō): “After seeing the broadcast, I thought that Hajime serves as the healer of Cafe Nowhere. She is always eating delicious-looking food and she also has a cuteness that sometimes shows through when her face turns red. Hajime is a character with many mysteries, so I too am looking forward to what kind of developments are to come.”
Koneko (Kiyono Yasuno): “Everyone, I’m back! It’s Kiyono Yasuno, the voice of Koneko. Before last season’s broadcast, the team united and I was given the chance to deliver that energy.
