The broadcast start date has been revealed for the TV anime Hanayamata, the manga to which is currently serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward(Houbunsha). The first broadcast will happen on TV Tokyo at 25:35 on July 7. It will then broadcast on TV Osaka on the 8, TV Aichi on the 10, and AT-X on the 11. Syncing up with this, new information continues to be released.
The key visual that was finally released shows girls beginning with main character Naru Sekiya dressed in a yukata. The series develops into an adolescent story of five middle school girls who engage in yosakoi, a type of dance, and, in this fashion, the key visual overflows with loveliness and a sense of liveliness. Also, the singles for the opening theme, “Hanaha Odori Reya Iroha ni Ho," and ending theme, “Hanayuki,” will release simultaneously on Aug. 27.
Furthermore, new character settings were created for the anime for Yaya Sasame’s band name and band members that weren’t included in the original work. The band name is Need Cool Quality and voicing the vocalist Sachiko Yamanoshita is Yuki Wakai, who is active in the idol group i☆Ris. The name of the song by these girls is “Kodoku Signal,” which can be heard as an insert song in the anime but will also release on Sept. 10. Similarly to “Hanaha Odori Reya Iroha ni Ho," Aki Hata is in charge of the lyrics for this song as well. Composing the song is Keiichi Hirokawa of Monaca, who also worked on music for Wake Up, Girls!
Also, the second original sound drama movie titled “Self-Introduction: Hannah Edition” is available on the official site. The story gives an introduction to Hannah N. Fontanstand, a transfer student from America. This is the first time voice actress Minami Tanaka can be heard voicing Hannah, so it is must-hear content.
The web magazine Hanayamatime which focuses on the five members of the main cast is also being distributed on the official site and Twitter. The first issue that focuses on Reina Ueda, the voice of Naru Sekiya, is available to enjoy now. The second issue available on June 13 will have a special feature on Minami Tanaka.
